The Grady County Forestry Pageant has a new
look. This year, we are adding more optionals including talent. The Miss and Teen contestants will say their speeches
on-stage and all contestants will participate in an interview and introduction. This new format will give the girls
much more exposure and experience. And the audience will get a great show. Come out and participate with us.
Plans are underway for the 2008 Miss Grady County Forestry Pageant. This year
is going to be new and exciting because many changes and additions have been made to the pageant.
Two new categories have been added for this year’s pageant. The new categories include a Baby Miss division and a Teeny Miss division. The categories are: Baby Miss (0-23 months), Teeny Miss (2-3 years), Tiny Miss (4-6 years), Little Miss
(7-9 years), Junior Miss (10-12 years), Teen Miss (13-16 years), and Miss (17-23 years).
All categories except the Miss are open to girls from any county in Georgia.
The Miss category is limited to girls residing, working, or going to school in Grady, Decatur, Thomas, and Mitchell counties.
Another exciting change to this year’s pageant is the
introduction of an optional talent competition. The girls competing in the pageant
may perform a two minute talent of their choice. A talent award will be given
in each division with talent entries and an overall talent winner will receive a cash prize.
This year’s pageant will also have an interview
portion and introductions for the contestants in the Tiny through Miss divisions.
